The biggest thing I've learned at WAH? Absolutely, it's tolerance. That wasn't
one of my words, but "tolerance" keeps coming to mind. I was raised
in a very conservative church.....perhaps even legalistic. I've learned that
people CAN drink in moderation and still love Jesus. I've learned that people
CAN play cards and still love Jesus. I've learned that people CAN go to movies
and still love Jesus. I've learned that people CAN go dancing and still love
Jesus. I've learned that people CAN go to a non-Baptist church and still love
Jesus.
I've learned that God's Forever Family is made up of all kinds of people who
all love Him in their own special way, and it's just as pure a love as mine,
even if they don't think like I do. And the best thing of all, I've learned
I CAN have fellowship with those who don't believe quite like I do, that our
fellowship is in Jesus, not in lifestyle.

Even more important than finding friends, WAH allowed me to be a friend. Never
having very many female friendships, I didn't know how to BE a friend. WAH taught
me how to listen and how to respond and how to just be there for someone else
without the expectation of getting anything back. I learned that while we are
all different, our daily struggles, joys and issues are basically all the same.

W@H is "Women at Home". However, we aren't just women who are home during the day. All types of women make up the W@H community. Some work outside the home; some work at home; some homeschool their children; some are head of the PTA; some aren't married; some are planning their wedding; some have grandchildren. The thing that brings us all to W@H is our search for a safe place to discuss, share with and get to know one another, and to belong. This is what makes us all Women at Home.

If you took a poll from the ladies here, you would find slight variations to the same answer: WAH means friendship
